Dr. Corie Hickson is a clinical psychologist and the director of Complete Family Services, however, her first passion has always been dance. She began dancing ballet, tap, and jazz at the age of two. She was one of the original Showstoppers for PSPA, and started teaching dance in the local schools and for PSPA at the early age of 14. She was then a principal dancer for the South Bay Ballet and spent her summers dancing with the Pennsylvania Ballet. At the age of 17, she was accepted to dance with the Joffrey Ballet, however, she was told that she could not simultaneously attend college. As a result, she double majored in dance and sociology at UC Irvine, staring in numerous productions. At that time she was hired as a professional dancer and choreographer for the Anaheim Splash, Disney Mighty Ducks and eventually she became an NFL Cheerleader and choreographer for the San Diego Chargers, while receiving her Ph.D. Recently, Corie began teaching dance again for PSPA, as the love of dance developed in both of her children, Tanner, age 10 and Makenna, age 6.
