Tita Boulger, founder and co-director of PSPA, has a well known reputation, having taught in the South Bay area for over 25 years. She has studied tap with Melvin Kaiser, Eddie Gay, Henry Le Tang and Paul Kennedy, ballet with Olga Fricker, Patricia Stander and Jazz with Bill Hyden, Jimmy Mack and Luigi.. She appeared with the Jimmy Mack Performing Troup as a featured Jazz and Tap dancer and is a current member of the Hot Cotton Candies. She has choreographed numerous musicals including, Anything Goes, 42nd Street, The Mikado, and West Side Story. Each summer Ms. Boulger is teacher/choreographer for the Song and Dance Program at Idyllwild Arts Summer Program. Ms Boulger brings her talents for choreography and teaching together to form the Peninsula School of Performing Arts June Chin, interim director for 1999-2000, a native New Yorker, received her training from Helena Baron and from Paul Sutherland of American Ballet Theatre. She danced professionally and was featured as a soloist with Ilya Gaft Dance Theatre and Whitney Ballet in New York; principal dancer with the Baron Ballet Company of New Jersey, and the Staten Island Ballet. She recently choreographed the Mulan Parade for Disneyland and Disney World and a new ballet work, Everlasting Blossoms. Dyan Lopez Fiamengo has been teaching jazz and tap in the South Bay area for 25 years. She has taught for the Edge, Dupree, and Steven Peck, as well as PSPA. Dyan specializes in competition routines, and prep for song, dance drill, choreo and cheer. At one school she began an all boys dance team that became state champions for two years, with one dancer going on to dance with Brittany Spears, Michael Jackson and Prince. She herself has danced professionally with Cab Calloway, the Four Tops, Steve Allen and Gregory Hines. She has worked on TV, movies and music videos. Dyan has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physical Education and a minor in Dance from California State University, Long Beach. Currently, she is Co-Choreographer and performer with "The Hot Cotton Candies" and is the director of "Electric Youth Jazz". She is also a free lance choreographer for competitions, fashion shows, half-times and field shows. Sharon Palmer comes to us with an extensive performing background of singing and dancing as well as acting. She was a member of the Young Americans for 3 years and now, with a BA Degree in Dance from UC Irvine, she teaches, choreographs and performs throughout Los Angeles and Orange County. Ruth Fentroy ,born in British Columbia, Canada has performed nationally and internationally with both local companies as well as renowned companies such as San Francisco Ballet, The Royal Ballet, and Ballet Nacional de Cuba. She is an aspiring teacher and choreographer and has choreographed several classical and neo-classical short works as well as full-length children’s ballets for Regional Ballet companies as well as schools. Many of her students have been accepted to prestigious summer programs such as Ballet Pacifica, San Francisco Ballet, Ballet West, Joffrey Ballet, Nevada Ballet Theatre and American Ballet Theatre Vince Benevidez has taught for many years throughout the South Bay area, directing dance teams that have won State & national Championships for four consecutive years. He is well known for his fun and enthusiastic style of teaching. Vince also co-directs and co-choreographs, with Sarah Peroni, their new Musical Theater Company, Kinetic Entertainment. received her training at Ballet Pacifica with Louis Carver, Jimmie De Fore Dance
Studio with Jimmie De Fore, Dupree Dance Academy and Edge Performing Arts
Center. Marina Kalanina attended the prestigious Moscow Bolshoi Ballet Academy, where she danced as a soloist in Don Quixote, The Nutcracker, Romeo & Juliet and Cinderella. After graduation she performed as a soloist in over 60 countries with the most prestigious ballet and character dance companies including the Moiseyev and Berioska. After immigrating to the USA in 1981, Ms Kalinina performed on stages from New York to Las Vegas, Australia and California as a member of the Kalanina Dance Company. She has taught dance in CA for overe 20 years. Liz Cantine is well know as a teacher of ballet, tap, folk and modern, choreographer, performer, PVPUSD dance educator, and consultant. A UCLA grad Liz began her performing career with Burch Mann Folk Ballet and Al Huang Modern Dance Co. Marie Sperber studied Dance in Reno, Nevada with Ava Kerr. She moved to LA two years ago to train at the Edge and to audition and teach. She has performed in Industrials including Il Circo by Imagination
