Tita Boulger, founder and co-director of PSPA, has a well known reputation, having taught in the South Bay area for over 25 years. She has studied tap with Melvin Kaiser, Eddie Gay, Henry Le Tang and Paul Kennedy, ballet with Olga Fricker, Patricia Stander and Jazz with Bill Hyden, Jimmy Mack and Luigi.. She appeared with the Jimmy Mack Performing Troup as a featured Jazz and Tap dancer and is a current member of the Hot Cotton Candies. She has choreographed numerous musicals including, Anything Goes, 42nd Street, The Mikado, and West Side Story. Each summer Ms. Boulger is teacher/choreographer for the Song and Dance Program at Idyllwild Arts Summer Program. Ms Boulger brings her talents for choreography and teaching together to form the Peninsula School of Performing Arts Roberto Almaguer, born in Cuba, Mr. Almaguer graduated from the school of Ballet de Camaguey, where he began his professional dancing career under the direction of the Father of the Cuban Ballet, Fernando Alonso. He became a soloist with the National Ballet of \Cuba in 1989, under the direction Prima Ballerina Alicia Alonso, following his two Gold Medals in the International Ballet Competition in Peru. As a soloist with NBC, Mr. Almaguer toured extensively throughout Europe and Latin America. Following his defection the the United States in 1993, Mr. Almaguer became a guest artist with Miami City Ballet and the Ballet Cubano of Miami and a principal dancer at Cleveland San Jose Ballet and the Joffrey Ballet of Chicago. In addition to his teaching and dancing career, Mr. Almaguer has been a choreographer for the YAGP (Youth America Grand Prix) in which he was the winning choreographer in 2004. Mr. Almaguer is currently the Artistic Director of Dance Peninsula Ballet in California Liz Cantine is well know as a teacher of ballet, tap, folk and modern, choreographer, performer, PVPUSD dance educator, and consultant. A UCLA grad Liz began her performing career with Burch Mann Folk Ballet and Al Huang Modern Dance Co. Ruth Fentroy ,born in British Columbia, Canada has performed nationally and internationally with both local companies as well as renowned companies such as San Francisco Ballet, The Royal Ballet, and Ballet Nacional de Cuba. She is an aspiring teacher and choreographer and has choreographed several classical and neo-classical short works as well as full-length children’s ballets for Regional Ballet companies as well as schools. Many of her students have been accepted to prestigious summer programs such as Ballet Pacifica, San Francisco Ballet, Ballet West, Joffrey Ballet, Nevada Ballet Theatre and American Ballet Theatre Dyan Lopez Fiamengo has been teaching jazz and tap in the South Bay area for 25 years. She has taught for the Edge, Dupree, and Steven Peck, as well as PSPA. Dyan specializes in competition routines, and prep for song, dance drill, choreo and cheer. At one school she began an all boys dance team that became state champions for two years, with one dancer going on to dance with Brittany Spears, Michael Jackson and Prince. She herself has danced professionally with Cab Calloway, the Four Tops, Steve Allen and Gregory Hines. She has worked on TV, movies and music videos. Dyan has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physical Education and a minor in Dance from California State University, Long Beach. Currently, she is Co-Choreographer and performer with "The Hot Cotton Candies" and is the director of "Electric Youth ". She is also a free lance choreographer for competitions, fashion shows, half-times and field shows. Marina Kalanina attended the prestigious Moscow Bolshoi Ballet Academy, where she danced as a soloist in Don Quixote, The Nutcracker, Romeo & Juliet and Cinderella. After graduation she performed as a soloist in over 60 countries with the most prestigious ballet and character dance companies including the Moiseyev and Berioska. After immigrating to the USA in 1981, Ms Kalinina performed on stages from New York to Las Vegas, Australia and California as a member of the Kalinin Dance Company. She has taught dance in CA for overe 20 years. Alex Kalinin was born in Moscow, Russia and began his dancing career at the age of four with his father. He graduated from the prestigious Bolshoi Ballet Academy of Moscow. He has performed and toured as a soloist in over sixty countries with the most prestigious dance companies in the former Soviet Union. After immigrating to the United States in 1981, Mr. Kalinin has performed on stages from New York to Las Vegas, Reno, Australia and throughout Southern California. He has taught dance for over twenty-five years in US as well as abroad. He is the Founder and Artistic Director of the Kalinin Dance Company. Vanja Katrinov started dancing at the age of 6, At the age of 10, she was completely astonished by street dance as well. She has been trained in Jazz, Ballet, Hip-Hop, Latin Dance, Contemporary, Lyrical, and Modern Dance. In 2002, Vanja became the Co-Owner/Choreographer for a professional dance company based in Europe where she managed business operations as well as administrative duties. As an instructor she taught children, ages 3 to 25 dance techniques including: Jazz, Hip-Hop, Gymnastics, and Lyrical. At the age of 20, Vanja coached nationally and internationally. She has coached World and European Champions across multiple dance disciplines, and age groups. Vanja complimented her extensive dance background by studying Physical Education while residing in her home country of Yugoslavia. Most recently, Vanja relocated in 2007 to the Los Angeles area in order to pursue a degree in Dance Preston Li received his traing from Beijing Dance Academy, one of the most prestigious schools in Beijing, China. He graduated with top honors and recxeived a scholarship to Princeton Ballet and Joffrey Ballet in the U.S. He danced as a soloist with Ballet Met and Colorado Ballet and was a principal with Grand Rapids Ballet. Mr. Li toured as a soloist in the Broadway shows Cats and Westside Story in Japan. He is currently teaching in the Los Angeles area. Angel Papadakis received a B.A. from the University of Southern California and was a member of the USC Repertory Dance Company under the direction of Dr. Margo Apostolos. She served as the Assistant Director for the biannual performances. She received an Outstanding Choreography Award in 2001 and USC Theater School Scholarships. She trained with Dance Peninsula under the direction of Patricia Stander and The San Pedro City Ballet under the direction of Cynthia and Patrick Bradley performing in annual Nutcracker and spring showcases. She has also trained in Chicago with Hubbard Street, in San Francisco with Lines Ballet and in Hollywood at the EDGE Performing Arts Center. She received a J.D. from Pepperdine University School of Law and is an active member of the State Bar of California. She is a Golden Key Scholar and a member of Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. Cindy Peroni has been in Dance for many years as a Performer, Costume designer, and Teacher. She has designed and created costumes for Dance Peninsula, PSPA, Dynamic Dance and Electric Youth. She taught Creative Movement and Dance at Peninsula Montessori, and currently Ballet, Acrobatics, and Tap at PSPA. Marie Sperber has been dancing for 20 years. She has studied ballet, jazz, lyrical, tap, modern, musical theater and hip hop. At the age of 11 she was chosen to join a modern dance company, A Wing and a Prayer, to tour the western united states. In 2003 she moved to Los Angeles where she has performed at various venues and continues to train at the Edge. Marie has been teaching at many studios throughout the Los Angeles area; as well as choreographing and preparing dancers for competitions. Her dance piece "Tribal Tap" won the 2006 encore choreographers award. Marie is an excellent technician and has the ability to bring the best out of all dancers from young to advanced pre-professionals. She is the director of "Impact Dance", a PSPA Jazz and Hip Hop team. Chelsea Stager Lindsay Turner
