DANCE PENINSULA BALLET Dance Peninsula Ballet was founded in 1988 to offer the serious ballet students of PSPA an opportunity to focus on ballet training and performance. DPB, directed by Patricia Stander, is a member of Regional Dance America/Pacific and consists of about 30 Junior, Apprentice and Senior members. Auditions are held in July. In September, we audition for our annual production of The Nutcracker. Adults and children (ages 5 and up) are encouraged to participate in this annual family production. In Spring the company members perform in Ballet Showcase featuring original choreography from guest artists and members of the staff along with selected excerpts from classical ballets. Mission Statement: The mission of Dance Peninsula Ballet is to encourage dancers to develop to their fullest potential while inviting community involvement in the joy of the dance experience through performances and educational programs. As a non-profit organization, Dance Peninsula Ballet relies heavily on the support of individuals in the community, corporate donations, and Foundation Grants to fund its programming and administrative costs.
